I’m so excited to share some fantastic news with you all—On Thursday 13th June my very own radio show will launch, “Amplify with Laura Cowell,” on 99.7 2SSR. Set your reminders for every Thursday at 6 PM because we are about to embark on an incredible auditory journey together!
The journey to this point has been both exhilarating and educational. The process of bringing a radio show to life is no small feat, and the past few months have been a whirlwind of activity. From intense training sessions to rigorous exams, the path to becoming a radio show host has been filled with learning and growth.
The initial phase involved comprehensive training where I honed my skills in broadcasting and learned the intricacies of managing a radio show. The highlight was passing the necessary exam, which was both challenging and rewarding. It marked a significant milestone in my journey, proving that hard work and dedication truly pay off.
But the preparation didn’t stop there. Behind the scenes, I’ve been meticulously planning each segment of “Amplify with Laura Cowell.” This show is my passion project, focusing on uplifting and showcasing incredible music from artists who bring something unique and powerful to the table. It’s about giving a voice to those who inspire us through their music and stories— artists who achieve amazing things regardless of their health challenges.
Now, as I approach the final assessment before the official Go Live, I feel a mixture of excitement and nerves. This last step is crucial, and I’m putting everything I’ve learned into practice to ensure that everything goes smoothly. The assessment will test my readiness to manage the show in real-time, a challenge I am ready to embrace.
