BEYOND THE HEADLINES.INTO THE CONVERSATIONSTHAT MATTER.

Leadership, community and change explored through writing, media appearances and the conversations that shape how we think.

Across business, government, community, sport and advocacy, I've had the privilege of contributing to many different conversations. This is a collection of the ideas, experiences, conversations and moments that matter to me.

A Different Perspective Can Change Everything.

I don't believe we need to agree on everything to learn from each other.

Some of my strongest beliefs have been shaped by experiences I never expected, people I've met along the way and moments that challenged what I thought I knew.

I believe everyone has the capacity to influence others, regardless of their title, background or circumstances. And I believe the choices we make, particularly when things are difficult, say far more about us than the positions we hold.

People Before Positions

A title might describe what someone does. It doesn't tell us who they are, what they've experienced or what they have to contribute.

Inclusion Beyond Words

Real inclusion isn't simply being invited into the room. It's having the opportunity to participate, contribute, be heard and belong.

The Choices That Shape Us

We cannot always choose what happens in life. But our responses, our relationships and the decisions we make can influence what happens next.

IN THE MEDIA. PART OF THE CONVERSATION.

From conversations about community issues and public service to disability inclusion, business, sport and personal experiences, media provides an opportunity to bring important topics to a wider audience. For me, it's never simply about being seen. It's about contributing something worthwhile to the conversation.

THOUGHTS WORTH SHARING.

Not every thought needs a headline. Sometimes it's a conversation, a moment of reflection or an experience that makes me stop and reconsider something. Here, I share perspectives on the things that matter to me — from the responsibility we have to one another to the importance of kindness, courage, opportunity and choice.

Choices & Becoming

Reflections on personal growth, resilience, identity and the experiences that shape us.

People & Connection

The value of empathy, listening, relationships and recognising what others may be carrying.

Inclusion & Opportunity

Moving beyond awareness towards genuine access, participation and meaningful opportunities.

Community & Contribution

The people, volunteers, organisations and everyday actions that strengthen our communities.

Influence & Responsibility

How decisions, behaviour and personal influence affect the people around us, regardless of job titles.

MOMENTS OF RECOGNITION. REASONS TO KEEP GOING.

Recognition is something I'm grateful for, but I've never wanted it to be the destination. For me, these moments are reminders of the people I've worked alongside, the opportunities I've been given and the responsibility to keep contributing.

CONVERSATIONS THAT DESERVE TO BE HEARD.

Every Thursday evening, I step behind the microphone for Amplify with Laura C on 2SSR 99.7FM. It's an opportunity to share music, stories, community achievements and conversations that invite us to see the world from different perspectives. From talented artists with disability to people creating change in their communities, Amplify is about recognising the value of voices we might otherwise miss.

SHARING IDEAS. STARTING CONVERSATIONS.

Whether I'm speaking at a conference, participating in a panel discussion, contributing to a community forum or sharing my own experiences, I value the opportunity to connect with people. I don't believe a successful conversation is measured by how many people agree with you. Sometimes its greatest value is encouraging someone to think differently.

THE CONVERSATION DOESN'T END HERE.

There's always another perspective to consider, another story to hear and another opportunity to make a difference. If something here resonates with you, challenges you or starts a conversation, then it's already served a purpose.
